Air Force Materiel Command

The Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) is a major command of the United States Air Force. It was created on July 1, 1992, through the merger of the Air Force Logistics Command and the Air Force Systems Command. AFMC is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is responsible for research, development, testing, and acquisition of new technologies, as well as the maintenance and sustainment of existing systems.
