Job Description: AVINA Clean Hydrogen is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead the development and implementation of hydrogen/ammonia and derivative fuel projects. This position will play a critical role in our next growth phase, driving forward the engineering, construction, and commissioning processes using renewable resources for green hydrogen and clean fuel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of hydrogen and clean fuel infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of hydrogen/ammonia production, storage, and distribution systems.
Coordinate activities with internal project/engineering teams and external FEED/EPC contractors.
Interface with permitting agencies, contractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
Engage with renewable energy companies and power grids to secure project input power.
Collaborate with county officials to secure water supply for projects.
Negotiate and coordinate with technology suppliers, including electrolyzer, storage, and compression companies.
Manage project schedules, resolve issues, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Assist in developing project financial models, budgetary estimates, and proposals in response to RFPs.

Required Qualifications:

BS or MS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector.
Proven track record of managing capital projects exceeding USD 25 million.
Experience with new technologies in the renewable energy or hydrogen sector.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deliverables and timelines.
Proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.

Preferred Experience:

Background in oil & gas sector project management.
Experience with hydrogen, ammonia, or SAF development projects.
Ability to travel 100% of the time to deployment locations as required.
