About Us

National Wild Turkey Federation

The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. Founded in 1973, the NWTF works across North America to restore wild turkey populations and enhance wildlife habitats. The organization collaborates with state, federal, and provincial wildlife agencies, as well as private landowners, to achieve its conservation goals.

Sustainability

The NWTF is committed to sustainable conservation practices. The organization focuses on habitat management, which includes reforestation, controlled burns, and the creation of wildlife openings. These efforts not only benefit wild turkeys but also improve the overall health of the ecosystem. The NWTF also promotes sustainable hunting practices and works to ensure that future generations can enjoy wildlife and natural habitats.
