Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the United States Navy's five "systems commands." NAVSEA is responsible for the engineering, building, buying, and maintaining the Navy's ships, submarines, and combat systems. With a workforce of over 80,000 civilian and military personnel, NAVSEA manages more than 150 acquisition programs and is responsible for nearly one-fifth of the Navy's budget.

Sustainability

NAVSEA has been making strides in sustainability, focusing on reducing its environmental impact through various initiatives. The command has implemented energy-efficient technologies and practices in its shipyards and facilities. However, detailed information on specific sustainability metrics, such as ESG reports or carbon footprint calculations, is limited.
