Visa Global Sourcing manages Visa's end-to-end sourcing and procurement of goods and services as part of the broader Finance organization. The Center of Excellence team in Global Sourcing enables the organization's success through people, process, program and operational management best practices.

The Senior Director - Center of Excellence, is a key leadership position in Visa's Global Sourcing Organization to deliver sustainable value by enabling successful partnerships. This is an integral role, driving the Center of Excellence's core goal to be a performance-enabling powerhouse for our stakeholders, providing support across categories and other functions and enabling Visa's Global Sourcing Organization, facilitating a real change, continued development of and transformation towards best-in-class performance across sourcing and procurement teams.

This candidate should be a proven thought leader responsible for the strategy and enablement of a multi-region/function sourcing organization, through Organizational Strategy and Planning, Supplier Management, Reporting & Analytics, Strategic Projects such as Mergers & Acquisitions and Continuous Improvement. The ideal leader for this role will exhibit a strong sense of urgency and agility, with the capability to succinctly articulate issues and alternatives to propel decision-making processes while meeting departmental and functional objectives.

Essential Functions:

Lead the Global Supplier Management Program team and center-led strategy across multiple divisions and regions to provide enhanced value to Visa through deeper partnerships with suppliers.
Segment supply base to ensure differentiated focus with most strategic and impactful supplier relationships, bringing increased value creation through the delivery of goods and services in accordance with contracted service levels, performance management, ESG initiatives, innovation, category management and strategy standards along with fact based supplier management tools and templates, and Sourcing in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. FFIEC, FBA, Bank of England etc.).
Develop and manage organizational Reporting and Analytics capabilities, delivering dashboards on metrics such as but not limited to Savings, Spend, Productivity, Cycle Time and Key Performance Indicators, ensuring Global Sourcing and its stakeholders have the data and insights to make rapid and effective decisions with an emphasis on accuracy.
Drive Sourcing's transformation roadmap and forward-looking strategic plans. Build a future-forward vision that spans across people, processes, and systems, focused on continuous improvement and automation.
Deliver intelligence on external best practices for Sourcing in support of Visa's efforts in ongoing maturity enhancement.
Manage project implementations, timelines, deliverables and change management from internal customers and stakeholders for Global Sourcing Center of Excellence initiatives identify roadblocks to success and solution options to move forward.
Take ownership for leading local teams in the execution of the integration of acquired companies which includes end-to-end integration process and activities for Sourcing and Finance teams from initial development of integration plans with milestones and timelines, to execution of the tactical plans, to providing a clear roadmap for ongoing ownership to complete the integration.
Engage and establish business partnerships with cross functional leadership including sourcing leadership, global and regional category directors, relevant stakeholders and business partners across Visa to collaborate, influence, and drive Center of Excellence programs and initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.
• Technology or Financial Services sector(s) experience a plus.
• 8+ years directly leading and developing a team.
• Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement or project management a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic initiatives and programs, including but not limited to the execution of major tool/system implementations, automation efforts, end user training and communication, continuous improvement initiatives etc.
• Strong relationship-management skills and ability to communicate effectively, and collaborate with, senior-to-exec management. You need to be able to tell compelling stories through insights and data to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action.
• Excellent planning and organization skills and business judgment, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects and anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives, identify what success looks like for deliverables, articulate messages to relevant stakeholders and executive leadership in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated project management skills with ability to drive consensus in cross regional and cross functional teams, as subject matter expert focused on a business solutions approach.
• Act as a champion for change that can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs.
• Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business trade-offs, generate out-of-the-box solutions, challenge the status quo, understand industry trends, best practice and manage change/uncertainty.
• Strong proficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces (including, Ariba, Oracle and Risk management tools).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel Advanced, PowerPoint, Outlook. PowerBI a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 181,800.00 to 250,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
