The Director of Engineering & Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the plant's engineering and maintenance programs, ensuring the implementation of process improvements, capital projects, and maintenance activities to support 24/7 operations. This role involves managing the engineering and maintenance teams, driving safety efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals.

Description
- Prioritize safety in all Engineering and Maintenance activities by adhering to established safe work practices.
- Establish and maintain the engineering capabilities required to implement product, process, and quality improvement projects at optimal cost while adhering to all applicable Federal and State regulations. Develop and manage the plant's maintenance program based on industry best practices, with a focus on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. Ensure that resources within the Engineering and Maintenance departments are appropriately allocated to meet plant and project needs.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to troubleshoot issues and identify, investigate, evaluate, and recommend improvements in processes and/or equipment.
- Oversee the plant's capital expenditure budget and resource allocation for both Engineering and Maintenance activities, ensuring proper management of operating expenses.
- Strengthen and manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs to ensure its effectiveness in a 24/7 chemical manufacturing operation. Drive equipment and process reliability analysis for continuous improvement. Ensure the completion of projects on time, within budget, and in a cost-effective manner.
- Lead the identification, development, and implementation of engineering programs, including designing and installing new equipment and upgrading existing assets while focusing on waste elimination.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve key maintenance metrics such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, PM compliance, and schedule compliance. Manage and evaluate Engineering and Maintenance team performance through regular performance reviews
