Position: Environmental Lab Testing and Compliance Manager
Location: Tonawanda, NY
Schedule: M-F (Days)
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000
Job Summary:The Environmental Testing and Compliance Manager is responsible for the profitability of the Recovery Division. Additionally, the primary objective is to efficiently manage the used oil collection, processing and product resale network in a manner consistent with customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and increased profitability.
The Lines of Business include:• Fluids: DEF, industrial oils, antifreeze, and windshield wiper fluids.
• Waste-Oil Pick-Up: Serving automotive and industrial customers.
• Recycled Lubricant: Providing services to asphalt and aggregate companies and re-refineries.
Duties/Responsibilities• Establish Recovery procedures for the lab, collection, operations, process and administration. The procedures are designed to ensure and balance regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction and quality control.
• Responsible for the used oil process facility and transfer site permits, operations and records.
• Research and implement new processes, procedures or products designed to reduce expenses, increase revenue or improve quality control.
• Manage the NOCO Quality Assurance Program to ensure that all products sold by NOCO Fuels meet or exceed the minimum requirements of both consumer and governmental expectations.
• Perform lab sampling and analytical testing to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Safely and efficiently offload fluids and materials, adhering to operational guidelines.
• Conduct safety audits and maintain comprehensive records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Perform routine inspections on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Oversee tank cleaning and compliance inspections for the Tank Farm.
• Inspect and maintain the pumphouse and related equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment to ensure operational reliability.
• Maintain routine preventative maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Monitor and manage fluid inventory, including DEF, industrial oil, antifreeze, and windshield wiper fluids.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and orderliness of the work environment.
• Assist with and attend monthly P&L meetings.
• Contribute to annual budgeting processes.
• Support forecasting efforts on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Education and Experience• Knowledge of laboratory practices, fluid management, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills for warehouse and inventory management.
• Familiarity with safety standards, compliance requirements, and reporting processes.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and contributing to financial discussions.
