Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Semiconductor Equipment Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in semiconductor processes and tools, along with a strong ability to conceptualize and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, and product teams to align equipment capabilities with the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:Equipment Design & Development: Develop new chemical processes, including scale up, design, fluid dynamicssimulation, and optimization. Apply chemical engineering principles of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, kinetics and process control to formulate experiments and interpret their results
Process Integration: Apply chemical engineering principles of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, kinetics and process control to formulate experiments and interpret their results
Technical Leadership: Provide expertise in materials, fluidmechanics, and sequence of operations to design equipment capable of meeting high precision and throughput demands. Responsible for process design, and implementation of new technology
Innovation & Prototyping: Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies, and iterating designs to meet manufacturing challenges. Develop and integrate innovative ideas to improve chemical manufacturing operations
System Optimization: Evaluate existing equipment and processes to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness. Improve specialty chemical processes to reduce cost, increase throughput or eliminate operational complexity/difficulty
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, supply chain, and vendors, to ensure seamless equipment development and deployment. Provide support for cost estimates and analysis of proposed projects
Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for designs, standards, and processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering or related field
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in equipment design, development, or architecture. 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing chemical processes
- Proficiency in simulation tools and data analysis platforms.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges in equipment performance and reliability.
