Job DescriptionThe Compensation range for this position is approximately $124,950 - $154,350 and will be based on the candidate's qualification, experience, and education.Are you passionate about creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace? Join us as an HSE Leader, where you'll spearhead world-class safety, health, and environmental programs in our most complex distribution centers and stores. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and implement strategic initiatives that prioritize the well-being of our employees while driving compliance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Innovate and Lead: Develop, implement, and monitor programs that elevate our safety, health, and environmental practices to best-in-class standards.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with the Regional Operations Manager and work in alignment with the top corporate safety executive at LII to execute strategic corporate HSE initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements to HSE practices by introducing creative solutions and leveraging industry-leading strategies.
- Expert Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the health and safety administration team, offering guidance on critical projects, tasks, and day-to-day operations.
- Hazard Mitigation: Oversee the identification and removal of physical, biological, and chemical hazards while ensuring employees are effectively trained on safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Compliance Excellence: Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE laws and regulations, maintaining meticulous records that meet established guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a talented team of HSE professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
QualificationsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in management.
- Proven track record of success in implementing best-in-class HSE practices in a plant environment.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Skills and Expertise:- Deep knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and workers' compensation best practices.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
- Outstanding presentation and training development skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced problem-solving tools such as Apollo Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities to inspire teams and achieve ambitious goals.
