About the PositionWe are seeking an Environmental Discipline Manager and Business Development Lead to build our growing EWR (Environmental and Water Resources) team in the Houston, TX office. This role would have a specific focus on business development, client account management, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 15+ years of related experience focused on detailed permitting and regulatory review on a variety of public and private projects. The successful candidate would help grow and develop our EWR team in the Houston office and surrounding states, mentor junior staff, direct various projects, and support non-technical project managers with client communications. As part of EWR's leadership team, the successful candidate would interface with clients, pursue opportunities, serve as a thought leader, and help grow Pond's brand.

About Our TeamOur team of environmental professionals includes scientists, ecologists and engineers. Our EWR team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast and our existing client base includes local municipalities, state agencies, various federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and private clients. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.
Knowledge and Experience:- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing financial health of projects including budgeting time and invoicing projects.
- Ability to manage and mentor junior staff regarding ecological surveys and environmental regulation questions as well as career development.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to execute project deliverables.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Experience in developing permitting approaches for a range of project types.
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams to execute complex regulatory permit packages.
- Experience attending client meetings and participating in public meetings.
- Experience supporting project teams by communicating tasks, documenting meetings, and gathering data.

Additional Information Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Environmental Discipline Manager with a salary range of $100,800.00 - $159,800.00 .
