Dare to make an impact? What you'll do - Own the regional implantation of the business unit's global sustainability strategy taking regional circumstances into consideration and drive execution.
- Create a plan with detailed, measurable targets and tangible deliverables for the defined region, around all relevant sub-markets and in line with customers' goals and targets.
- Take ownership of the commercialization of our sustainability positive portfolio incl. build up and progression of customer project pipeline.
- Be the "Go-To" person for all functions regarding sustainability topics within the region, partnering with the commercial teams to drive relevant conversations and product introductions with our customers.
- Work closely across the division of Packaging adhesives with assigned experts on topics such as carbon footprint, co-innovation in product design, circularity and recyclability being their regional counterpart.
- Identify market, industry, and regulatory trends in the region to drive our today's sustainable portfolio and innovate on future solutions.
- Educate customers & regional organization on business opportunities & general concepts related to sustainability Engage and communicate with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulators, and NGOs, on sustainability issues and opportunities, as well as take care of regional advocacy in alignment with global experts.
- Partner with regional associations linked to the packaging & converting industry (plastic, paper, metal packaging & tapes / labels)
- Translate regional regulations & market trends into customer needs.
What makes you a good fit - Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, business administration or related field Master's degree preferred
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, marketing, or business development, and ideally directly connected to sustainability management, preferably in a large and complex organization
- Demonstrated leadership, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive change and innovation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
- Ability to take initiatives and implement solutions with little direction
- Open-minded, flexible and self-motivated team-player
- Inspiring person with strong communication skills and ability to build networks
- Strong passion for sustainability issues and trends, and the ability to translate them into business opportunities and solutions
- Fluency in English

The salary for this role is $135,000.00 - $185,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
