What You Will Do: Develop and Elevate Your Career as a Sustainability Program Manager-Colorado!We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sustainability Program Manager to join our team in Colorado. This role offers an incredible opportunity for growth, professional development, and the chance to make a lasting impact on projects that shape the future of sustainability.
As a
Sustainability Program Manager-Colorado at WSB, you will:
- Be part of a visionary team delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for both public and private sector clients.
- Thrive in the Front Range, where you'll play a pivotal role in business development, utilizing your expertise in land use, planning, and sustainability to forge new relationships and expand WSB's presence in Colorado.
- Split your time between business development (50%) and project work (50%) upon hire, with a progressive shift toward more project work and increased utilization rates by the end of your first year.
- Leverage your strong network of Colorado-based business and government connections to grow new opportunities in the state and beyond, driving WSB's expansion in other core service areas.
- Use your project management skills to lead, track, and execute both current and future sustainability projects, consistently meeting or exceeding utilization rate expectations (approximately 70%).
- Direct multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and on budget, ensuring client expectations are not just met but exceeded.
- Conduct tailored research, writing, and strategic analysis to support climate and sustainability initiatives, creating actionable deliverables for clients.
- Engage with key stakeholders including councils, commissions, boards, C-suite executives, and government staff, fostering strong client relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Sustainability to develop and execute growth strategies for sustainability across the company.
- Lead the proposal process for sustainability projects, coordinating efforts across teams to submit winning proposals and secure new business.
- Represent WSB at industry events, build strong client relationships, and identify new opportunities for project work.
What You Will Bring:The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of industry experience, with progressively responsible roles in sustainability, resiliency, planning, or circularity.
- Proven experience working with both public and private sector clients.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with a passion for sustainability and a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Business development experience, including the ability to identify and secure new projects from new and existing clients.
- A track record of successfully managing projects, clients, and teams, and delivering excellent customer service experiences.
- Expertise in greenhouse gas inventory, reporting, and emissions reduction strategies.
- Knowledge of electric vehicle policy, planning, and technology.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate teams, manage multiple disciplines, and ensure seamless coordination across project teams.
