- Extensive background in woodworking and construction is required to ensure the student receives hands-on, practical instruction grounded in real-world industry experience.

- A valid construction license showcasing in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the contruction and woodworking fields.
- Well-developed management skills, including the ability to manage classroom dynamics and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge through practical, real-life applications to enhance student understanding and engagement.
- Proven successful teaching experience with high school students.
- Experience working effectively in collaborative groups or teams.
- Ability to infuse contextual learning opportunities into the subject area, making learning relevant and engaging for students.
- Advanced ability to use technology effectively in the classroom to support and enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Willingness to participate in professional development courses and activities that are aligned with school and district initiatives to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

JOB GOAL: The goal of the position is to effectively deliver a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, fostering the development of students' technical skills, knowledge, and career readiness in related fields. This includes tailoring educational experiences to meet diverse student needs, integrating emerging technologies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the learning environment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive CTE program in Engineering Drafting and Design that aligns with state standards and industry requirements.
- Develop detailed lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the unique needs and abilities of each student.
- Integrate real-life applications and contextual learning opportunities to make the content relevant and engaging.
- Stay current with and incorporate emerging technologies into the teaching, learning, and assessment processes. Be open to receive professional development in an industry setting to learn how to use industry standard equipment.
- Utilize various technological tools to enhance student learning and to prepare them for modern industry practices.
- Work cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, counselors, and community members to plan and deliver cohesive and integrated educational experiences.
- Participate actively in departmental, school, and district meetings and initiatives.
- Develop and administer a variety of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and proficiency.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to guide their learning and improvement.

- Prepare and submit required reports, documentation, and data as requested by school and district administrators.
- Communicates with parents, and school counselors on individual pupil progress
