This Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable and customer-service oriented Recycling Attendant Service Worker to monitor day-to-day operations at a recycling collection site to include public oversight, maintaining safety, directing traffic, customer education, materials management, data collection, and other duties as assigned.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming recycling waste to ensure proper placement of acceptable materials, direct residents to proper receptacles.
- Open and close the recycling collection site on time.
- Welcome residents in a courteous manner and engage with them to understand their needs; communicate effectively and professionally.
- Work independently for up to 8 hours per day.
- Commit to a Tuesday through Saturday work schedule.
- Patiently instruct and inform the public about unacceptable wastes and where to dispose of them.
- Collect participation data and distribute materials as assigned by the client.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
- Prior customer service experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to be reliable and punctual.
Physical Requirements- Ability to temporarily function in work environments that can sometimes include high heat; high humidity; extreme cold; and roadway traffic hazards.
