Professional Geologist Can be located in CLARION, CORAOPOLIS, GREENSBURG, HARMAR, ALBION OR KITTANNING Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in geology or related field GIT required; PG in Pennsylvania is preferred At least 5 years’ relevant experience Geological mapping and survey techniques Knowledge of mining and related topics including but not limited to: Open-pit mining Strip mining Blasting plans and notices Groundwater Surface water Water collection and testing Dust sampling Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations (PA required, OH a plus) Experience with related submissions and permits (NPDES, HOP, PNDI, GP 104, etc.) Understanding of wetland delineation, mitigation, etc. Interaction with related agencies: DEP, EPA, Army Corp of Engineers, etc. Ability to conduct fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or hydrologic/hydraulic software a plus. Responsibilities include project management and client interactions. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, have a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.
