Description: The Stewardship Specialist is responsible for implementing stewardship projects in the Walker Basin and beyond. Responsibilities include leading and/or conducting stewardship activities including, but not limited to, fuels management and conifer removal, wildlife friendling fence construction, mechanical and chemical weed control, irrigation installation and operation, native plant revegetation, trail building, process-based stream restoration and other stream and wetland improvements. Strong experience in forestry, fuels management, and/or fence construction is preferred for the current opening. Open position may be filled at a Stewardship Specialist I, II, or III level, determined based on qualifications. Each successive level has increasing technical expertise and management responsibilities.
