What we're looking for: Nexamp is looking to hire a Regional Construction Manager. As a DG solar scale and BESS Construction Manager the qualified candidate will need to have vast experience and knowledge in all aspects of Solar Construction. The candidate must possess an expert level understanding of workflow and contractor management. The position requires the ability to develop strong relationships, maintain positive outlooks, and open lines of communication between business units to achieve milestones. The Construction Manager will stay informed on innovation to maintain best practices and efficiency in the construction of DG scale and BESS systems. The right individual will manage a high level team, focused on quality, and consistently hitting deadlines. The Construction Manager will report to the Director of Construction, while collaborating with other business units, Regional Construction Mangers, Commissioning, and Program Managers within the organization. Follow-up and communication are keystones of a successful Construction Manager. The candidate will have a keen eye for detail on technical aspects and during team development. The ability to support emerging markets within Nexamp's growing network will be essential to company and career development. Supporting and tracking outage resolution tickets and operational KPIs will be essential in this role.
This role is based out of either our Lawrence, MA or Portland, ME office and will report to the Director of Deployment.
What you'll do: - Develop operational policies and procedures for maximizing safety, performance and profitability for the construction of DG scale solar & BESS projects.
- Participate and/or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor key metrics and develop operational strategies for profitability

- Manage and coordinate materials to ensure ongoing operations are equipped and staffed
- Establish, communicate, and evaluate progress towards field goals and benchmarks
- Resolve all issues and concerns relating to field office operations
- Work with Project Management Team.
- Develop best practices and standard tools to use to continuously improve operational efficiency
- Streamline all field office operational, functional, and administrative systems and insure they comply with local laws and regulations
- Develop workforce plan with Project Management Team for each project to include the general labor needs, supervisors, site management and equipment necessary for each project, as well as identify key employees and training needs. Manage contracts for subcontract Construction Supervisors.
- Responsible for tracking new hire Forecast, Site startup information, Construction Superintendent overtime and mileage, inventory updates, and the SOP repository,
- Responsible to manage Weekly Construction Superintendent meeting, Weekly Project Closeout meeting, Weekly Construction Complete meeting
- Responsible to monitor Civil/SWPPP issues on all project site
- Promote and communicate the Company quality policies and procedures
- Schedule and coordinate Geo-Tech and Push Pull Testing with Design Team
- Schedule and coordinate Pre-Construction site walks with Pre-Construction Team
- Schedule and coordinate construction and site Utility walks
- Monitor and manage field office expenses with assigned budget
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of required field and inventory reporting
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and drive closure of accompanying action items
- Promote culture of quality workmanship in the field
- Forecast staffing of field personnel Manage and develop training strategies
- Review and approve team Expense reports
- Review and approve contractor invoices
- Provide policy and procedure updates to Construction Teams
- Monitor Weekly project progress meetings
- Develop, maintain, and review Quality inspections
- Approve and sign off on Quality milestones
- Track milestone dates on a weekly call
- Work with other business units to achieve milestones
- Develop meeting schedules to track milestones at a high level
- Promote a positive work environment

- Oversee and be responsible for the QA/QC function for all construction projects
What you'll bring: - College degree or combination of field related experience
- 10 years of DG Scale and BESS Solar Construction Management
- 5+ years of experience in the solar industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in work methodology and scheduling of work and contractors to meet budget and schedule.
- Experience with contract hires, able to manage a large team of individuals in a large geographic area.
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of NEC and OSHA compliance
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and analyze electrical diagrams and solar plans
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, a tremendous attention to detail and follow-through, have sound written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general construction
- Demonstrated ability to assist service and fleet team to ensure adequate coverage across the network logistics and material shipping.
- Demonstrated ability related to assist the sales, design, and PM team's with pre and post construction issues and customer concerns.
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge of OSHA30, Fall protection and CPR/First Aid
