The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a Birding Outreach Coordinator/Ornithologist. The successful candidate will have a passion for birding and exceptional interpersonal skills to engage tour participants, guests, and donors. The position is responsible for developing, promoting, and leading programs in public outreach for bird-watching, avian citizen science, and wildlife viewing tours. Special emphasis will be placed on developing these programs for the local and national markets. Meet the Zoo’s strategic interests and apply metrics to the programs for evaluation. Design and plan fun, engaging programs which inspire participants to continue support and value of wildlife. Planning includes defining purpose, itinerary, and cost for excursions.
