Job DescriptionThe Chemical Process Engineer will provide oversight in key areas to ensure both proper prioritization of customer orders and process quality control to meet customer requirements. The Chemical Process Engineer will collaborate with technology and manufacturing team members to achieve team priorities.
The Process Engineer/Production Team Leader will:- Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans focused on company objectives including safety, high quality, productivity, and outstanding customer service. Work to provide group leadership and instill an empowering culture to support these objectives
- Work with production team to ensure production planning is aligned to meet customer requested ship dates and make adjustments as required.
- Drive continuous improvement and increasing productivity in assigned areas. Lead assigned groups to achieving goals in asset utilization, process /manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction.
- Lead process and quality improvement efforts in assigned production areas.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams in technology and sales to ensure plant initiatives align with overall business goals and programs including existing programs as well as new product launches.
- Ensure communication to management and cross functional teams regarding daily and strategic efforts effecting business deliverables.
- Work with EHS team and production employees to ensure top levels of safety within the facility. Prioritize early identification and rapid execution on addressing and fixing root causes of safety concerns in all areas.
- Ensure production processes are compliant with manufacturing control plans and instructions.
- Lead key objectives for the manufacturing scale-up and implementation of pilot processes.
- Work with technology and manufacturing team members to design, build, and operate chemical apparatuses/equipment.
- Generate and manage technical process/material specifications as well as technical documents required for customers.
Qualifications- B.S. Degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering).
- Prior experience in chemical/material production, process design, and process control.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and leading hourly production workers.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work without boundaries to accomplish critical tasks.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, including the tools and ability to apply them correctly in executing a project or program.
Other Requirements:- Ability to set priorities and work efficiently with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise data analysis and technical reports.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, develops and maintains good working relationships.
- Ability to implement and maintain a high level of organization of tests and samples.

- Proactive in detection and correction of possible EHS issues. Working with safety as first priority, for both the individual and the team.

CompensationThe position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $80,000 - $100,000.
