Key Responsibilities:Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to Brookfield's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures, as well as comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to environmental, safety, and health standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of operations and maintenance technicians and service contractors to ensure a high level of safety and operational performance.
Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operational issues, such as scheduling maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, and coordinating with external contractors.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for operational activities, including O&M costs, equipment replacements, and capital improvements.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main field operations point of contact between the company, regulatory bodies, and external contractors, ensuring transparent communication and timely reporting.
Risk Management: Implement preventive maintenance programs and risk management strategies to mitigate downtime and reduce operational risks.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular performance reports, including metrics related to uptime, energy output, maintenance activities, and cost management.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in utility-scale solar power generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Proven track record of overseeing the operations of renewable energy facilities, including solar and BESS projects.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, energy storage technologies (BESS), grid integration, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with operations and maintenance (O&M) processes and best practices for solar and energy storage projects.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools and software for performance optimization (e.g., SCADA, energy management systems).
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in complex solar and BESS operations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and coordination with various stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage operational budgets effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NERC, NEC, local regulatory bodies).
Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000
Travel: 50%
