The Frank J. Thornton YMCA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead our Learn to Swim program participants at our pool! We are looking for candidates with morning availability. This part-time position starts at $13 per hour.
DUTIES of Learn to Swim Instructor
Applicants should be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills. Using a variety of tools and teaching techniques, swim instructors will work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
QUALIFICATIONS of Learn to Swim Instructor
Candidates must have current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications are preferred but not necessary.
