Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Horticulturist. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

The Horticulturist reports to the Director of Agronomy and Director of Grounds and will occasionally supervise a small crew assisting in landscaping duties.

Job Summary (Essential Functions):
Maintains the landscaping around the clubhouse and other club facilities, including parking lots and pocket parks.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design is preferred.
  • Experience designing and planting of landscape beds preferred.

  • Cooperate with and respect fellow employees.
  • Presents a professional image at all times.
Job Tasks/Duties:
  • Plans and implements the yearly flower plantings and seasonal changes.
  • Plants and maintains ornamental shrubs, trees, and flowers.
  • Trims and feeds shrubs and trees.
  • Work in tandem with supervisors for irrigation scheduling and programming.
  • Basic operation of utility vehicles, hand-held blowers, and small equipment.
  • Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Able to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
  • Often required to get dirty and or work in dirty environments.
