Description
Under close supervision, sort and process recyclables, and operate noncomplex equipment and machinery incidental to manual labor tasks. Follow instructions; procedures are well defined; may make suggestions for work improvement.
Essential Functions
Sort recyclables; assemble metal or plastic refuse and recycling containers, may occasionally operate equipment in the recycling operation including skid steer loaders, balers, grinders, forklifts, and crushers; may pick up recycled material using a pickup and trailer; check and perform minor servicing to recycling equipment; perform building and ground maintenance to include, but not limited to, litter pickup, lawn mowing, cleaning, sweeping and mopping of floors; complete work orders; perform overtime as required; and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of eighth grade and experience in manual labor work. Valid Nebraska Driver's License or ability to secure adequate transportation to and from work.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:
None.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS USED:
Conveyor sorting line, bobcats, forklifts, welders, crushers, grinders, shovels, rakes, brooms, and balers.
REMARKS:

VACATION: Vacation leave is earned and accrued in bi-weekly increments in the following manner: 40 hrs years 1 - 4; 60 hrs years 5 - 14; 80 hrs years 15+. New employees receive 20 hours of vacation upon hire with biweekly accruals beginning on the sixth month of employment. Vacation leave may accumulate to a maximum of 120 hours.
MEDICAL LEAVE: Medical leave is accrued at a biweekly rate equal to 12 days a year. New employees receive 20 hours of medical leave upon hire with biweekly accruals beginning on the sixth month of employment. Medical leave may accumulate to a maximum of 720 hours.
PERSONAL LEAVE: 2 personal days are provided on the first of every calendar year. Employees must be employed on January 1st to receive personal leave days. Unused personal leave does not carry over to the next year.
HOLIDAYS: Twelve paid holidays per year.
MILITARY: Active members receive 60 hours of military leave annually. Military leave does not carry over to the next year.
