Do the Best Work of Your LifeNCX is accelerating the transition to a nature-positive economy by helping landowners discover, evaluate, and compare opportunities to participate in natural capital markets. As a Forester at NCX, you will work directly with landowners to understand their options and develop plans, as well as help our team build new landowner tools and keep our program listing complete and up-to-date.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Forester to join our team. The Forester will be responsible for supporting landowners in managing their natural capital portfolio, managing a database of natural capital threats and opportunities, and collaborating on landowner tool development. Note that this is largely a desk job, although there may be occasional field visits and conference attendance.
What you'll do- Landowner Plan Support: Assist landowners in understanding their forestry management options and provide tailored practice and program recommendations to achieve their land goals.
- Program Listings Research and Database Maintenance: Conduct research on private, federal, and state programs and maintain an up-to-date database of opportunities and threats to support landowners and organizational needs.
- Tool Development Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team to design and implement new tools that enhance landowner capabilities in managing their forested properties.
Sound like you?- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong preference for a candidates with a forestry license (any state).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and system management skills.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in GIS considered a significant advantage.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and independently.

Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to experience affordability, skills, and qualifications, and may vary from the stated range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for equity.
Full-time employees have access to our benefits program including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, optional 401(k) program, and a variety of other benefits programs. Health insurance is covered at 80% for employees and 50% for dependents for base plans. We offer a flex/unlimited PTO policy with 15 paid company holidays, plus flexible parental leave. Pay Range
$70,000-$80,000 USD
