ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a Senior Biologist to work onsite in Manassas, VA. This role requires experience with performing ELISA's.We're looking for a Senior Biologist to manufacture and QC yellow fever kits and other surveillance kits. You'll work independently to support the production of biological cultures and derivative products, as well as collect and record data. You will provide training and guidance to the team as appropriate.

Responsibilities- Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing or quality control (QC) testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
- Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Revise and develop SOPs and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving: Work towards subject matter expertise of various cell lines and organisms, and handle challenges in alignment with organizational policies.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Experience with Immunoassays and performing an ELISA required.
- Experience with Reagent production activities preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
- Time management and effective communication skills.
- Preparation of SOP's and WI's.
BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
