The Recycling Services Logistics Supervisor (RSLS) reports to the Executive Director of Reverse Logistics and Scrap Management. The RSLS handles the overall coordination of logistics procedures and practices to ensure that the company is operating under best practices for all. The RSLS ensures compliance with company policies and established regulations pertaining to environmental health & safety; security; cost controls; inventory quality and quantity specifications; and reports on logistic issues and projects. The RSLS is expected to help drive the logistics value chain for excellence within the organization. The RSLS will further develop and execute strategies that will improve carrier relationships and customer service, maximize equipment utilization, and focus on cost reductions and overall optimization of logistics resources. The RSLS will support the transportation activities within the Recycling Services group to optimize transportation in the movement of commodities and other recyclable material generated by Recycling Services customers and 3rd party service providers. This will be accomplished through daily direction of traffic activities, regular interaction with freight forwarders, commercial representatives, customers and 3rd party service providers / 3rd party logistic companies regarding shipments and related issues.

- Tracks all movement of commodities and other recyclable material from inception through various stages of the supply chain.
- Collaborates with customers, 3rd party service providers and 3rd party logistics companies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all shipments.
- Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports and related documentation for various shipment activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize cost.
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges, such as delays in pickup or receipt of scale tickets.
- Address and resolve any logistical challenges, such as discrepancies in information or other transportation issues in a timely manner.
- Securing trucking for domestic/export shipments as requested.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, commercial, transportation and finance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation and use of Control Tower as an automated logistics solution.
- Attend cross-functional team meetings as required by Executive Director of Reverse Logistics and Scrap Management.
- Request bookings for export sales & secure delivery appointments for domestic sales.
- Prepare and analyze reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards relating to shipping, transportation, and safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance logistical operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to contribute innovative ideas for enhancing logistics process.

Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will be required to work with cross-functional teams.
Job Conditions: Standard office environment associated with industrial settings. Work pressure can be substantial during peak times, requiring considerable adaptability; disturbances of workflow, and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on and intermittent basis. Position may see odd hours of work due to the nature of the position and business.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions: Ability to: lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally; sit for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; write by hand and keyboard for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; assemble papers, paper punch, staple, file; apply sufficient force to open and close file drawers. Ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Communication is primarily by phone, email and sometimes in person, with other departments within the Radius Group. Visual acuity needed for close detail work, preparing, and analyzing data figures, accounting, and computer use.
Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics or the business of recycling of various commodities and other recyclable material. Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with multiple operating units or related field preferred. This position requires possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to drive an automobile.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Strong planning, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work and cooperate with others to complete various tasks with established deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to leverage these skills to successfully present business cases and resolve various types of negotiations.
