Project Environmental Engineer(179385, Office, 5/2 (8hrs), Atyrau Riverside), New Developments Directorate

Qualification Requirements:

BSc in chemical/process engineering;
A minimum 5 years' experience and proven track record;
Overall broad Oil & Gas facilities knowledge required but specific experience in onshore and offshore; detailed design and follow on engineering to assist project definition;
Experience in design and operation of high content of H2S facilities;
Experience in design and operation of treatment facilities, with direct application in upstream oil&gas facilities and environmental protection oriented;
Knowledge of the oil industry, especially its processes and related environmental impacts;
Expects to have good knowledge of the RoK environmental legislation and practices and experience in preparation of documents and reports. Experience in obtaining permits and liaising with the authorities;
Independent in judgment and working with stakeholders and has completed successfully several Industrial Environmental assignments;
Experience in preparation and coordination of delivery of environmental deliverables and inputs in all stages of the project lifecycle;
Knowledge of international environmental standards as well as licensing and permitting and environmental monitoring compliance procedures within the RoK regulation. The candidate must demonstrate capability and readiness to learn and address requirements from moving regulation and laws, e.g. new EcoCode, and compare the international and local regulatory standards to identify differences and comparative advantages.

Required Competences:

Ability to analyse and verify process systems, including sulphur packaging storage;
Experience and understanding of HSE and operational features in the design of process and utility systems;
Communication skills to explain technical issues to others and write specifications and reports;
Ability to integrate into a team environment focusing on project deliverables completion;
Ability to interface with in-house technical specialists and other engineering disciplines;
Facility to effectively assimilate technical issues and develop means for problem solving;
Experience and understanding of HSE and operational features in the design of process and utility systems;
Communication skills to explain technical issues to others and write specifications and reports;
Ability to liaise with equipment vendors and interface with in-house technical specialists and other engineering disciplines;
Ability to identify, discuss and develop process issues to solution;
Good analytical, and documentation processing and control skills;
Understanding of RoK Permitting, IEC and Regulatory law and procedures;
Understanding of technical data and documentation and advise on compliance;
Computer literate on Microsoft programmes, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, GIS, Performance Monitoring and knowledge on recording data and documentation;
Ability to work with minimum supervision;
Ability to identify the specific information needed to clarify a situation or to make a decision;

Knowing when to escalate critical issues to own or others' management, if own efforts to enlist support have not succeeded;
Ability to work in an multicultural, multinational team;
Russian and English languages, writing and speaking;

Advantageous Qualifications/Experience

Experience in ISO 17025, 14001, 9001 and OHSAS 18001, waste management, laboratories, soil remediation, water treatment, GHG&EE management, environmental monitoring, reporting is desirable;
