This remote position, part of NRECA's Innovation and Emerging Technologies team, focuses on managing distributed energy resources (DER) research projects, advancing utility business model innovations, and integrating new technologies into cooperative utilities' operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing research projects and publications from inception to completion, including needs assessments and deliverables.
- Leading advisory groups on distributed generation, virtual power plants, DERMS, demand response, and electrification integration.
- Managing federally funded projects in distributed energy and microgrids while pursuing new funding opportunities.
- Guiding cooperatives in adopting new technologies, processes, and partnerships with technology vendors and large C&I consumers.
- Representing NRECA and electric cooperatives as a subject matter expert at conferences, meetings, and working groups.
