What You Will Do: As a Graduate/Project Engineer, you will play a supporting role:
- Performing specific design calculations, cost estimates, and plan preparation.
- May compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications on Water Resources projects.
- May have the opportunity to perform tasks or observe projects in the field.
- May be involved in public meetings and have other presentation opportunities.
- May oversee the work of Engineering Technicians but will work under the direct supervision of a professional engineer.
As you advance in your career:
- You may also plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities to ensure that projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets.
- You will also lead multiple work teams, manage multiple complex projects, identify new projects, formulate project approaches, lead the proposal process, formulate, track and meet project budgets and schedules, and market to and secure work from new and existing clients.
Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, the complexity of tasks performed, and direct supervision received.
What You Will Bring: The successful candidate must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and 0-3 years of experience in Water Resources or related field.
- Our preferred candidate will have their Minnesota EIT certification and should be eligible for the MN PE license within 4-5 years.
- Must possess a valid driver's license along with a clean driving record and have the ability to work in a variety of locations.
