You will be supported by company leadership and play a key role in Edgeland's development.The Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager participates in crafting an environment with other landscape architects who value creating memorable spaces emphasizing innovative design and sustainability. Primary responsibilities include collaborating, identifying, and mentoring the design talents of our Landscape team. This individual will provide the leadership necessary for our Landscape Practice to excel in the areas of design, management, technology, and service.
Your Impact:- Managing our Landscape Studio including day to day operations, scheduling, reviewing timesheets, and continuously engage with your Studio and Edgeland's overall culture.
- Participates in proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Responsible for meeting project schedules and budgets across all design/construction phases.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills for multiple project assignments.
- Assist firm leaders and marketing director in identifying trends and business opportunities.
- Identifying Landscape Architecture candidates and participating in interviews.
- Work in a collaborative, integrated environment, teaming with other design professionals to compile data and prepare design solutions.
- Supervise the preparation of landscape architectural drawing for all phases on projects of various sizes, specifically in the technical aspects of landscape architecture.
- Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate and select construction materials, and finalize construction document details.
- Use in depth knowledge of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and annuals in preparing planting plans and technical details / specifications.
- Lead in editing technical specifications and reviewing shop drawings.
- Establish and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Manage contractor and client relations during construction for larger and more complex projects.
- Participate in design meetings, conduct design work sessions and visioning, outreach and public forums.
- Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development, interview participation and presentations (this includes proposal writing and scope and fee negotiation).
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
- Travel as needed for project work.
Here's What You'll Need:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Landscape Architecture.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Technical knowledge of landscape architecture site development elements.
- Registered Landscape Architect in the state is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors
