Are you ready to make an impact?West Monroe has an immediate opportunity for a consulting leader with deep Energy & Utilities (E&U) experience, to lead and grow our national E&U practice as an expert lead focused on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and related services around IT architecture/infrastructure, predictive maintenance, and asset analytics. Our utility clients are actively planning and investing in next-generation EAM technologies as a critical tool to enhance their workforce productivity, comply with regulatory standards, improve customer service, and integrate new technologies. As a Director, you will work with our EAM Transformation team building, retaining, and growing the business. This role entails significant responsibility in refining and expanding our EAM transformation offerings, go-to-market strategy, and execution. This includes developing new business, managing the client relationship at the executive levels with existing and new clients, and providing leadership, direction, and oversight to our project teams. What You Will Be Doing: Business Development - Cultivate new and existing client development opportunities for the E&U consulting practice
- Originate and manage client development opportunities and sales cycle with prospective new and existing clients
- Lead development of proposals, work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for project prospects
- Attend networking events and actively build and leverage a professional network and affiliate network in the Energy & Utilities community
Client Delivery - Lead teams serving Energy & Utilities clients while demonstrating executive presence with high level client counterparts
- Mentor and manage teams on client projects to be able to keep project on schedule
- Support development of project deliverables and review the work products of the team
- Manage project risks and issues
- Act as the client relationship manager with C-level executives
- Understand the underlying business processes and technologies being used within an organization to be able to make recommendations on how to achieve long-term scalability, reduce operational cost, or better support business processes
Practice Development - Collaborate with local office leadership to define the office culture, strategic direction, and actively lead entrepreneurial activities in an office environment
- Drive the development/enhancement of WMP's methodologies and approaches to client delivery
- Coach and lead other consultants and actively participate in the performance management process
- Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality consultants
- Lead, mentor, and grow consultants and actively participate in the career advisory and performance management process
- Participate actively in the recruiting process for additional practice managers and consultants
- Provide entrepreneurial desire and act with selflessness to give your time, energy, and passion to growing the firm's culture and our people both inside and outside of office hours
- Contribute to the development of the local office culture and growth
What else you bring: - Deep knowledge of and direct experience in EAM landscape, including:
- Vendors landscape - selection strategy and partnerships/alliances building
- IT/OT integration - architecture planning and execution to support data processing and analytics
- Infrastructure - advise clients on solution on-premise vs cloud adoption considerations
- Cyber Security / Privacy - navigate key regulatory and operational imperatives utilities face with protected data classifications (NERC CIP) and growing customer-owned assets (distributed energy resources)
- Implementation expertise - support novel delivery approaches as clients adopt agile, incremental business adoption of new technologies to meet business needs
- Minimum 12 years of work experience within the Energy & Utilities industry and at least five years of large utility modernization experience
- A minimum of three years of consulting experience and either a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business OR Equivalent experience required
- Practice development and strong leadership skills
- Strong client development and an active professional network of utility contacts
- Strong program/project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
- Mature business development, project management, and consulting skills; writing and presentation of business solutions
- Positive attitude, excellent customer communications skills and the ability to act on own initiative with a strong commitment to customer service
- A commitment to inclusion and diversity and openness to new ideas and perspectives
- This role requires the ability to travel, as required based on client and practice demands (50%-75% annually). Additionally, it requires the ability to be in-person three days a week when not traveling for client or practice work.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale.

Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
