Description Your role at GEI. GEI Consultants, Inc. continues to grow and expand, both in our technical services offerings and geographic coverage. GEI is seeking a Project Environmental/Civil Engineer to help expand its growing business within our Mt. Laurel, NJ office.
Primary Responsibilities: - Perform data management and analysis, prepare reports and technical presentations for delivery to clients and regulators.
- Provide technical oversight for complex field assignments or construction management as needed. Overnight and weekly travel may be needed to lead these field teams depending on scope and staffing.
- Coordinate and lead office and field tasks and provide project management support.
- Assist in developing scopes of work and proposals.
- Support development of conceptual site models, remediation strategies and design packages.
- Provide mentorship and training for junior staff.
- Some overnights may be required. Candidates should be prepared to work in inclement conditions.
Qualifications: - B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, M.S. is a plus.
- EIT, PE or ability to obtain.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
- 4 to 8+ years of previous professional experience in environmental consulting, knowledge of NJ or PA environmental regulations a plus.
- Proficiency in report writing and excellent communication skills are required.
- Candidate must be willing and able to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license.
- Due to client requirements for anticipated projects, candidate must be willing to submit to and pass random drug screenings.
