Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and analyze mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, regulatory experts, and other stakeholders to develop designs that meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Perform thermal, fluid, and structural analysis of mechanical systems to ensure their performance and integrity under normal and accident conditions.
- Develop system layouts, specifications, and drawings for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct evaluations and failure analyses of mechanical systems and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the selection and specification of mechanical equipment, ensuring that it meets the technical, safety, and cost requirements of the project.
- Review and verify vendor documentation and drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Provide support during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of nuclear power plants, ensuring that mechanical systems are installed and operate as designed.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and documentation to support project requirements, regulatory submissions, and quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to risk assessments and safety evaluations for mechanical systems and components.
- Stay informed on new technologies, industry developments, and regulatory updates relevant to mechanical engineering in nuclear power plants.
Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
