The
Buildings Sustainability portfolio team is responsible for energy efficiency products and services that are sold and executed by the Smart Infrastructure Buildings business. As part of this team, the
Energy Engineering Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the operational readiness of our energy engineering resources. These engineering teams are responsible for sales support, project development, project execution, and lifecycle support for our energy services customers.
Ensuring the operational readiness of our energy engineering teams requires:
- Training on Siemens-specific products, such as building automation products
- Training on Siemens-specific energy portfolio, such as Smart Building Commissioning, Demand Flow® Chilled Water Optimization, Dynamic VAV Optimization,
- Training on Siemens-specific tools and processes
- Developing internal classes, seminars, and training content on relevant technical topics
- Conducting hands-on training and mentoring in the field
As a Energy Engineering Development Manager, you will: - Develop and maintain Siemens-specific training content for new energy engineering hires, including:
- How-to guides for Siemens BAS software tailored to energy engineering use cases
- Interpreting and writing sequences of operation for BMS programming
- Siemens portfolio of offerings
- Execution of Siemens offerings, including use of in-house tools and following project development standards
- Interface with SI Academy on energy engineer training path
- Work with Sustainability Portfolio team on training content for new portfolio targeted at both sales and operations
- Participate in the development and presentation of in-person trainings as part of SI Academy courses and energy engineering summits
- Conduct hands-on field training and mentoring with engineers at job sites
- Evaluate and implement third party training on relevant engineering topics, such as:
- Energy basics
- HVAC basics
- Controls basics
- Act as Level 1 support for various topics, including
- Use of Siemens tools and software
- Questions on methodology and implementation of project and portfolio
- Questions on Siemens resources
- Coordinate the collection and prioritization of requirements for Siemens tooling
- Working with Operations Managers to create standards related to career progression and technical skill expectation
You will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
- Expert level knowledge related to building mechanical systems and the sequences used to control them, including
- chillers and chiller plants;
- central air handling systems;
- room-level automation controls;
- and packaged cooling systems
- Demonstrated Desire to act in a mentorship role to young engineers (history acting as mentor or formal instructor preferred)
- Demonstrated Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated Strong project management skills
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or other Applied Science strongly preferred
- CEM or PE preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in sector related to building automation, building mechanical systems, or energy efficiency consulting OR 5 years experience as a member of the Siemens Energy Services or EPS/Performance Contracting team
- Expected travel: 25%
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
- Demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and PowerBI strongly preferred

- The pay range for this position is $98,630 - $169,080 . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
