The Environmental Assurance & Protection (EAP) team is seeking a Sr. Environmental Technical Process Manager who will support EAP Central Operations and drive environmental operational excellence across Amazon business units in the North Americas (US & CAN). The Process Manager will be responsible for ensuring environmental strategy and operational excellence is provided to the EAP Field team, developing technical support and facilitating environmental field operations across the US.
This role is based in Amazon's Nashville offer, BNA12. The Sr. Environmental Technical Process Manager is not required to travel, unless requested to support projects in the North America Region.
Key job responsibilities
- Utilize risk assessments and compliance evaluations to establish continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the field to minimize environmental aspects and impacts by communicating and implementing best practices
- Develop and maintain operational excellence practices within the EAP North America Field Team
- Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization
- Manage and execute central operations strategies for North America
- Develop relevant environmental procedures to standardize environmental operational practices within North America
- Facilitate initiatives to improve environmental processes, identifying inefficiencies and providing standard solutions for the North America Region
- Implement Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize environmental operations
- Responsible to manage the Regional Site Tracker for North America
- Oversee and manage EAP projects for North America
- Continuously measure and monitor the Compliance Auditing Strategy for North America
A day in the life
You will report into the Amazon Environmental Assurance & Protection (EAP) team to support the North America Central Operations Team. We seek to build and improve existing processes and influence tech products to drive environmental compliance through existing Change Management mechanisms, protecting process standardization, and performance management.

The Environmental Assurance and Protection team protects Amazon businesses and supports the needs of our customers by proactively mitigating environmental regulatory risks and protecting the environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
