The Aquatic Attendant performs entry-level work, with close supervision, and has a limited level of discretion. The position is responsible for patron safety, order, and discipline at the assigned location by enforcing rules and regulations, collecting fees, and providing excellent customer service. Prefer applicants to be available for the entire summer season. Work hours include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for program operation.
** Each year you are a returning employee you get an additional .50 to your hourly rate up to 4 years. ** Essential Duties & Required Qualifications - Must have reliable transportation.
- Provides strict but courteous enforcement of all park rules and regulations and reports incidents to manager on duty or Recreation/Aquatic Coordinator.
- Keeps accurate counts of the number of pool patrons entering and exiting the facility.
- Tracks individual transactions by using cash register and point of sale system.
- Collects admission fees from pool patrons and accurately gives change.
- Tabulates daily receipts and counts closing money.
- Completes all necessary forms for daily operation and closing procedures.
- Ensures that all money and valuables are kept secure.
- Assists with facility cleanliness, appearance, and reports maintenance needs.
- Assists Recreation/Aquatics Coordinator with aquatic events.
- Supervises and enforces splash park rules.
- Maintains organized work and records environment.
- Provides excellent customer service to all park patrons and fellow employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Education and Experience- Must be a minimum of 15 years old by May 1 of the current year.
- Must be available to work irregular hours and at various intervals, including weekends, holidays and evening hours.
- Reliable transportation to and from work shifts.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- First Aid and CPR/AED certification CPR/AED Certification is required within the first 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications- Cash handling experience.
- Point-of-Sale system experience.
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
