Arxada is looking for an EHS Manager for our Williamsport, PA, plant, which produces biocides and personal care ingredients for the hygiene, preservation and personal care markets. This role works through the safety and security functions of the Williamsport plant.
Essential Job Functions:- Develop and carryout procedures that optimally control accident, health and security exposures in line with OSHA, EPA, PADEP, DHS and Regulatory compliance
- Focus on the "Vision of Zero" as it relates to injury, process, and environmental incidents
- Promote efficiency in the areas of process and occupational safety
- Assist in training plant supervision and employees to follow all applicable laws
- Adhere to all Company ethical standards and lead by example for ethical compliance
- Facilitate PHAs for the facility
- Conduct plant safety inspections and audits of plant housekeeping, work permits, lockout/tagout, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Conducts and documents investigations of incidents and ensures follow up actions to prevent reoccurrences are addressed.
- Develops and conducts EHS training, orientation, and renewal
- Promote the Industrial Hygiene program; sampling and continuous improvement in working conditions.
- Plans, coordinates and directs the training, crewing and performance of the plant Emergency Response Team to protect manufacturing assets and employees in the event of an emergency.
- Injury case management
- Resource for Safety and Health information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
- Site emergency response team member.
Qualifications & Experience:- BS or equivalent experience in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management or related field
- Min. 4+ years shown experience specifically in Safety/Environmental in a chemical manufacturing setting
- Must have regulatory audit experience
- An understanding of OSHA, EPA, DHS, National and PA Environmental Regulatory requirements, employment management and development required
- Capable of interacting with regulatory agencies to resolve concerns and issues
- Ability to influence the organization to accomplish safety and health objectives and a demonstrated commitment to a participative work environment.
- Must have or be willing to gain a working knowledge of cGMP in an FDA-regulated environment
The expected salary range for this role is $130,500 to $159,500 USD, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
