Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Facility Environmental Engineer at the Twin Falls Factory in Twin Falls, ID. This is an exempt salaried position that reports to the Environmental Manager at the facility. Primary responsibilities include coordinating with the Environmental Manager, Plant Manager, and other corporate/facility personnel to ensure that the facility and regional operations are following applicable environmental regulations, protective of public health, public welfare, and conducted in accordance with the Company Environment Policy.

Additional Responsibilities:- Assists with ensuring that daily facility operations are following all applicable requirements related to air quality, water quality, solids, hazardous waste, and other environmental impacts.
- Assists with ensuring environmental monitoring data and other necessary information is collected, recorded, and analyzed in accordance with applicable permit or regulatory requirements.
- Preparing in a timely manner for review by the facility environmental manager, environmental reports required by permits, other applicable regulations, or requested by regulatory agencies.
- Evaluating and if necessary, recommending improvements to pollution control equipment and processing operations to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impacts.
- Investigating and resolving environmental questions and concerns from operations departments/personnel.
- Conducting environmental training as needed.
- Demonstrated experience in time management and multi-tasking/prioritizing skills.
Qualifications:- A bachelor's degree in engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial), or related field is REQUIRED.
- 5-plus years related experience in heavy industrial manufacturing facility preferred.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in water treatment, sugar industry, oil and gas industry, pulp and paper industry is a plus.
