Position Summary:The Energy Manager is responsible for the strategy and coordination of the short and long term operational and economic optimization of customer power generation facilities and controllable load resources across the United States.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. The Company is not able to take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time for this position or commit to doing so in the future for individuals with current authorization to work via, for example, CPT or OPT, and would need sponsorship in the future.Essential Job Functions:- Continuous compliance with the applicable market and operational rules
- Coordination with power plant managers, market traders, and regional transmission organizations
- Interacts effectively with Mid-Term Traders and Operations to monitor and evaluate generation surplus or deficit positions related to market opportunities
- Works closely with Accounting and Settlements to ensure accuracy of all applicable market fees
- Strong computer and analytical skills and proficiency with database, spreadsheet, real-time, and internet applications are a must
- Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
- Traveling to training seminars and customer sites is required several times per year

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Minimum requirements include an undergraduate degree in a technical or business discipline and 3 years of industry experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows (current) and Office (current), and proficiency with database, spreadsheet, real-time, and internet applications required
- Ability to prioritize assigned projects, multi-task, and confidently make critical decisions in a fast- paced environment
- Must have strong customer service, time management, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:The job will require sitting in an indoor office environment and the need to visually read various written materials including, but not limited to, paper documents and computer monitors. The job may also require standing, bending, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, crouching, driving, and airline travel. The incumbent will have the ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, printer, telephone, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Local and domestic travel is required to meetings in other office buildings.
