Senior Environmental Engineer 3 to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:- Lead the execution of project work and proposals on large and/or complex multi-disciplinary projects to align with company-defined business objectives and client expectations in partnership with the project team.
- Oversee day-to-day management of multi-disciplinary project teams, with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
- Apply your knowledge and experience as a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to develop regulatory strategy, advise clients, and fulfill the obligations of an LSP including oversight of the execution of client work regulated by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP).
- Regularly coach, mentor, and direct staff in the quality execution of projects and preparation of analyses, technical reports, and other deliverables, with a focus on developing skills to support their professional growth.
- Leverage your learning to increase the technical capabilities of others and the overall technical performance of the company.
- Excel in your field by engaging with external organizations, delivering internal and external presentations, and contributing to technical publications and business development with new and existing clients.
- Lead the performance of technical evaluations and development of conceptual site models on environmental projects.
- Play a significant role in client and agency communications and negotiations.
- Lead all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 12+ years of related experience.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience with Massachusetts Contingency Plan compliance work.
- Current Licensed Site Professional (LSP) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information to clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Applies emotional intelligence to achieve higher impact on project team and client communications.
- Demonstrated competency in environmental regulatory framework understanding and negotiations.
- Demonstrated understanding of soil, groundwater and air treatment technologies.
Preferred Skills- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Hydrogeologic experience, including assessment of fate and transport of contaminants.
- Design, construction, and O&M experience with environmental remediation projects.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
