We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a
Intern, Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, or Geologist to work during the summer of 2025. This person will assistproject teams with day-to-day project tasks. This is a temporary role that willbe about
3 months long starting in May or June of 2025. This is afantastic opportunity to get some hands-on, working field experience and be avaluable contributor to our project teams. This is a
full-time position located in our
Rochester, NY office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:- Serve in a office and field support role, working on technically challenging projects.
- Assist Project Managers and technical staff with the planning and execution of various projects including contaminated site investigation, natural resource permitting, geotechnical investigation, renewable energy, and construction projects.
- Perform various research tasks.
- Assist technical staff with collecting soil and groundwater samples.
- Assist with summarizing and evaluating subsurface geotechnical and environmental information and laboratory analytical data.
- Assist our construction monitoring service group at construction sites.
- Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training course where required (not all internship programs will require this training).
- Attend weekly Lunch and Learns.
- Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions.
- Complete a presentation at the end of the Summer to include, but not limited to:
- Overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc.
- Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- Computer Skills - Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
- Must have a valid Driver's license.
- Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred).
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE- Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career.
- Candidate should be enrolled in a geotechnical, or environmental engineering OR a environmental science, geology or geoscience educational program (undergraduate or graduate).

The salary range for this position in
Rochester, NY is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
