About the Environmental Health & Safety Operations ManagerServes as support person for Sustainability Services Territory or Vertical. Activities include: implementation of new contracts, assisting with special projects and staffing existing contracts as needed. May also assist Business Development and Territory/Vertical Managers with site walks, proposal development and contract renewals. Significant travel is required (90%+).
This position is remote however the individual must live in the state of California; Northern CA is preferred. This position does require 50% travel/on-site work in the area.What You'll DoTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Consult with internal team to identify, design and implement cost saving opportunities and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with client and government regulations by performing necessary inspections and reporting. Resolve all issues in a timely manner.
- Compliance management oversight of Federal EPA and state of California regulations.
- Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state and local regulations.
- Supporting management by reviewing sites compliance documentation and record keeping.

Must live & work in the U.S.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Seven (7) years of relevant experience (in addition to education requirement).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience required.
- OSHA 24-Hour HAZWOPER Certification required.
- TWIC Card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
- Strong understanding of California Hazardous Waste Regulations
- Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing.

- Travel is required to operating sites on a frequent and regular basis. Must be able to work varied and extended hours.
The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $105,375 - $154,531. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% annual target bonus.
