Environmental Services General Manager
The Environmental Services General Manager is responsible to direct, train, and motivate the staff of Environmental Services to maintain the cleanliness of various buildings around Campus with concern for health and safety. The Manager is responsible to accommodate building needs and to develop the office staff through training and recommendations.
Oversee the Environmental Services Department
Maintain high morale and motivate all Managers, Supervisors, general staff, GAs, and student workers to function as a team by achieving efficiency and excellence. Evaluate and inspect all aspects of the department on a consistent basis. Maintain and support a service mentality.
Supervise Environmental Services Managers
Cover responsibilities in the absence of a manager. Direct, inspect, and evaluate managerial activities. Ensure high productivity, efficiency, and excellence.
Manage Facility Needs
Conduct regular area inspections and communicate the results with staff. Gather renovation and event information and adjust staff responsibilities to accommodate. Coordinate tasks involving multiple departments. Review, recommend, and report on furnishings, finishes, equipment, etc. from an ES perspective.
Develop Department Employees and Processes
Research and distribute information pertaining to the responsibilities of ES staff. Continually research and learn about equipment, processes, procedures, chemicals, and classes that would benefit staff and increase productivity and efficiency. Recommend education and certifications to administration for specific Environmental Services employees.

College Degree: Management, College Degree (Required)
Work Experience
1+ years in management, 1+ years in the custodial industry
Physical Requirements and Skills
Able to work with cleaning chemicals, Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, Decision Making, Detail-Oriented, Interpersonal Relationships, Leadership, Operating Office Equipment, State driver's license
