SummaryThe Assembly Woodworker is responsible for assembling high-quality wood products by operating woodworking machinery and using hand tools. This role requires precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship to ensure all products meet our high-quality standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assemble wood components following drawings and cut lists.
- Use various joinery techniques such as dowels, pocket screws, and biscuits.
- Operate woodworking machines such as saws, and shapers.
- Use hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, chisels, hammers, and routers to assemble and finish pieces.
- Read and measure accurately using a tape measure.
- Fit, glue, and clamp parts to form completed units.
- Sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing.
- Install hardware such as hinges and catches.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the team and flex into different roles as needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and wear required protective equipment.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of woodworking or related experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, cut lists, and work orders.
- Familiarity with woodworking machinery and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.
Work Environment- Exposure to sawdust, vibration, and noise from machinery.
- Work near moving mechanical parts and power equipment.
- Temperature variations depending on the season.
- Required use of safety equipment based on position (hearing protection, safety glasses, respirators)
