play different!The (HSE) Health and Safety & Environmental, Manager will oversee and provide direction for environmental, health, and safety processes including support of the Workers' compensation process. The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role will lead initiatives to promote a culture of safety, reduce workplace hazards, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
What You'll Do:- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to reduce workplace hazards.
- Lead and coordinate safety training programs to ensure employees are aware of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Monitor workplace conditions and conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; develop corrective action plans and follow through on implementation.
- Maintain required EHS documentation and reports, ensuring accurate recordkeeping for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS initiatives into business operations.
- Manage hazardous materials handling, waste management, and environmental sustainability programs.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in EHS audits and inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety, environmental impact, and employee well-being.
Who We're Looking For:- Proficiency in EHS management systems and reporting tools.
- 5-7+ years of experience in a fast paced, 250+ employee manufacturing environment with automation in an Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health.
- B.S, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent
- Interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Financial and Strategic Management
- Proven process implementation and continuous improvement with KPIs that drive an open reporting culture
- Extensive knowledge and experience in environmental, health and safety program management
- Proficient in the oversight of FMLA/ADA
- Experience with workers' compensation regulations and claims management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Knowledge/hands on implementation of LEAN initiatives.
- ISO14001 / VPP.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Up to 10% domestically, with possible travel internationally.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:Our Manufacturing Plant is comprised of
1 million+ square feet of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
- Move throughout entire facility to attend to various issues, service customers and attend meetings.
- Work effectively in teams with strong communication skills and ability to facilitate.
- Perform sedentary work on various computer systems.
