Singhofen Halff has an immediate opening for an experienced Professional Water Resources Engineer, with a Florida PE License, to join our Water Resources team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with FEMA, FDOT, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities. Candidate must be able to successfully work on projects and work closely with our internal and external clients, perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure. Water Resources Professional Engineer (PE) Responsibilities: - Work under a Water Resources Team Leader in the development of Water Resources design projects for the FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.
- Perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.
- Work closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Florida communities.
- Assist in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT's, and technical staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
- Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize any adverse impacts on project outcomes.
- Review water resources designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency.
Water Resources Professional Engineer (PE) Education, Experience and Licensure (Minimum qualifications): - Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or Engineering Intern Certification (EI) in the state of Florida
- Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS
- Requires technical experience and/or familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and multi-task
- Proven business development experience
- Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity and success
Water Resources Professional Engineer (PE) Physical Requirements: (Minimum qualifications) - Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to travel to various project sites
