SUMMARYPartner is hiring Sustainability Consultants to work as technical resources as part of our energy consulting team. The successful candidates will manage all aspects of project execution and management related to Green Building certification projects with an emphasis on existing building certifications and specifically BREEAM and IREM Certification projects. We are looking for qualified candidates nationwide as this position can be based in any of our Partner offices.
Responsibilities - Provide Green Building consulting services and analysis to support LEED, IREM, BREEAM, Green Globes, and other green certification projects
- Manage the Green Building certification documentation processes
- Lead design charrettes / client meetings
- review project plans and documentation
- review construction submittals
- conduct on-site assessments & inspections
- Assess building performance metrics
- Work within certification platforms & portals for project execution
- Oversee data collection, field visits, energy analysis and metrics, and related tasks to achieve a green building certification
- Perform benchmarking analyses of energy, water, waste, and air quality metrics.
- Manage a portfolio of green building projects, delivering them on time, on budget, and with technical proficiency
- Plan project activities, update project forecasts, and maintain accurate records of project milestones
- Communicate project budgets, check hours booked, provide task training, oversight, and QC
- Manage team of internal staff members for project execution
- Manage external subcontractors as needed
- Assist with project invoicing, forecasting, and other project management tasks
- Attend internal and external meetings
- Effectively communicate with clients to ensure client needs and expectations are met
- Identify and communicate project staffing needs and other project issues to technical director
- Maintain target utilization rate
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the green building industry
- Experience using energy modeling programs such as eQuest, EnergyPro and/or Energy Plus
- Experience conducting energy analyses of building systems
- Client and project management experience
- Minimum LEED AP, WELL AP and/or BREEAM AP or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience with IREM and BREEAM certification programs
- Familiarity with LEED, Green Globes, EnergyStar, National Green Building Standard, Enterprise Green Communities, and Green Point Rated certification programs
- Project management experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Familiarity with CALGreen, Title 24 energy code, ASHRAE, IECC and IBC
- Engineer, Architect license, or Certified Energy Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Excellent math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to adjust work schedule to meet deadlines
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work with minimum supervision
- Passion for, and demonstrated interest in, sustainability and energy efficiency fields.
- Demonstrated mastery in technical subject matter including:
- Building systems, including HVAC systems, building envelope, and lighting systems
- Ability to read, understand and interpret building floor plans, site plans, and zoning maps
Compensation: Salary range is $90,000 to $110,000/yr. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
