Your Job DEPCOM is looking for a Director of Maintenance to join the Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large field team that is responsible for maintaining solar and battery energy storage plants across the United States.
The ideal candidate will use economic thinking to drive decisions, problem solving skills, good communication, experience in formalizing and implementing processes and procedures, and experience in driving change. This position can be remote or located in our Scottsdale, AZ office and requires the ability to travel 25-50%.

In this role, you will be accountable for the performance of our field maintenance teams, while working with our remote operations center, performance engineering, and sales teams to lead the maintenance program for DEPCOM Services.
What You Will Do - Partner with HSSE to maintain a robust electrical worker safety program that promotes knowledge that drives teammates practice of safe work habits
- Develop trusted relationships with direct reports to help them develop and maximize their contributions by applying Principle Based Management
- Drive field teams' use of measures to prioritize work, schedule compliance, and healthy utilization rates with quality documentation
- Partner with remote operations center, performance engineering and warranty among others to develop and implement production and reliability improvement measures and strategies with customers
- Support growth of O&M business by partnering with Services Sales and recruitment teammates to thoughtfully pursue new business that meets our frameworks
- Maintain relationships with our external preferred partners to promote mutual benefit
- Lead efforts to improve efficacy of maintenance procedures and improve sustainability of processes
- Leverage commercial knowledge and economic thinking to maximize profitability and identify opportunities for improvement
- Empower your team to be principled entrepreneurs, driving bottom-up solutions to close gaps through economic thinking and good stewardship
- Identify opportunities for DEPCOM Services to add more value by addressing market needs
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Experience leading maintenance teams in the utility or industrial plant environment
- Experience in customer-facing role
- Experience solving technical problems
- Experience with business finance
What Will Put You Ahead - Knowledge of Principle Based Management
- Experience in utility-scale solar, inverters and/or battery energy storage plants
- Engineering degree
For this role, we anticipate paying $160,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
