Biologist Details:
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: West Point, PA,
Compensation: Up to $30.25 per hour
Our client is seeking a contractor to join a group of researchers dedicated to the discovery of novel anti-viral drugs and vaccines. The role will be primarily responsible for developing and performing in vitro assays in support of vaccine discovery
Responsibilities:
• Optimize and execute novel in vitro assays to evaluate vaccine candidates
• Properly document and report experimental findings and assay protocols, and comply with all laboratory safety requirements
• Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Be adept at learning new skills/techniques
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in biology or related discipline and two years of experience post-graduation, or MA/MS in biology or related discipline
• Experience in tissue culture, molecular biology, or in vitro assays
• Strong collaborative skills and attention to detail
Preferred
• Design, development, and execution of in vitro assays
• Industry experience or MS
• Experience working with RNA or high throughput assay platform
