Job Description - Reports to the Manager, ESG Reporting Program.
- Leads the Corporate Sustainability Team in developing overall messaging, training materials, plans and content deliverables for UL Solutions corporate sustainability footprint activities.
- Works with the Social Impact Specialist to develop specialized campaigns and communications around community impact.
- Informs the external content strategy for corporate sustainability and recommends tactics to increase external visibility of corporate sustainability reporting and activities in collaboration with corporate communication.
- Drafts the global annual sustainability report and manages the report review and governance processes.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on UL Solutions verbal and visual brand identity for Corporate Sustainability.
- Creates and shares sustainability-focused content through various internal channels and networks including SharePoint, Yammer, Microsoft Teams sites and the Corporate Sustainability Council.
- Develops and manages the Corporate Sustainability SharePoint site.
- Serves as clerk to the Corporate Sustainability Council, taking and disseminating minutes during quarterly Council meetings.
- Partners with the ESG Reporting Specialist to determine content for inclusion in the annual sustainability report and other ULS reporting commitments, including the United Nations Global Compact, SBTi, GRI and EcoVadis.
- Creates content for external communication channels (including: ULS social media channels, UL.com, print publications, event materials and executive communication)
- Cultivates relationships throughout the company to effectively identify engaging content pertaining to ULS sustainability strategy, partnerships and objectives.
- Works with internal digital marketing team and Creative Studio team to fully develop and maintain the Corporate Sustainability presence on UL.com.
- Write and edit materials such as corporate publications and collateral, digital and social media content, videos, and infographics.
- Connects with ULS communications team and marketing stakeholders to ensure all sustainability communications and messaging are integrated and linked with company positions and corporate goals.
- Monitors sustainability landscape and implements new approaches to drive and differentiate ULS sustainability-related messaging and impact reporting efforts.
Qualifications- University Degree (Equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree) in communications, marketing, sustainability, ESG or a related field.
- 2-4years' experience preferred in marketing, communications, development, sustainability, ESG or related field.
- Ability to produce communication plans and self-assign projects to support team's overall strategy.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Passion for a sustainability career and a collaborative team player.
- Ability to manage complex projects, anticipate needs, and discern work priorities with limited supervision.
- Excellent ability to create effective messaging in support of strategy and integrative thinking skills.
- Professionalism, poise and ability to confidently and appropriately communicate with senior leaders of the company.
- Experience with or an understanding of the ESG landscape and sustainability reporting.
What we offer: Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $66,600 to $75,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
